"Anything worth doing is worth doing well," is a quote that LaKeisha Ard Hammett has built her career on, and now, as Director of Sales & Marketing and Co-founder of Hammett Enterprises, LLC, it defines her approach to servicing her clients. An ambitious, resourceful and capable marketing professional, LaKeisha approaches all of her clients' projects with the same level of professionalism and attention to detail regardless of client or project size.

LaKeisha Hammett began her career in marketing in 1996 literally on the ground floor and has dedicated the past fifteen years to educating herself in various forms of marketing and production. An unexpected introduction into the world of marketing convinced her to change her classification from a biology pre-med major at Xavier University of Louisiana to a marketing major at the University of New Orleans. Office manager, traffic manager, production manager, public relations assistant, and account manager are the positions LaKeisha would hold during the next three years while employed at two New Orleans based advertising agencies.

Never one to say, "that's not in my job description," and her strong affinity for marketing prompted LaKeisha Hammett to enter the broadcast industry, first radio and then television. Major event planning, creating cost-effective advertising schedules, copywriting, and marketing research are only a few of the skills learned while in radio. Add to that promotions, guerilla marketing, production, editing, media buying, videography, and management as a promotion manager in television, and LaKeisha was ready to enter a new phase in her career, entrepreneurship.

When asked "Why take the risk of starting up your own company," LaKeisha Hammett responds, " When you encounter as many people as I have, people who have great business ideas that fail not because they did not know their business but because they could not navigate the rough waters of marketing their business, you want to throw out a life preserver and save as many as you can. And that's what we do everyday at Hammett Enterprises, LLC, we reach out our hands to businesses."

Today, LaKeisha Hammett resides with her husband and two young sons in LaPlace, Louisiana. LaKeisha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of New Orleans and operates Hammett Enterprises with the belief that "anything worth doing is worth doing well."
